“Social Security:  Here Today, Here Tomorrow” is a public education campaign to help Americans better understand this vital program. We are holding a series of town halls across the country, sponsored by AARP, between June and November, 2023.

Social Security is one of the most popular federal programs. It provides American workers with retirement, disability, and survivor’s benefits – among others. 66 million adults and children depend on Social Security for financial stability. We hear a lot of information — and misinformation — about Social Security.  Sometimes it’s hard to separate fact from fiction.

You can attend in person or watch live video streams — and get answers to your Social Security questions from a panel of VIP experts. Special guests include Former Social Security Commissioner Carolyn Colvin.

In most locations, the first half of the event features games and refreshments. The second half consists of an informative panel discussion with Social Security representatives, advocates, and retirement experts, including ample opportunity for the audience to ask their Social Security questions!

Our President & CEO

NCPSSM President and CEO Max Richtman serves as ‘chief myth buster’ at these town halls, debunking misinformation about Social Security. Max is one of the nation’s foremost seniors’ advocates. Before serving as vice president and President of our organization, he was staff director at the Senate Special Committee on Aging.
