How to Vote By Mail in Your State

Voting by mail is an option available in every state. Aside from military and overseas voters, some states have “no-excuse absentee” voting, which means any voter can request a mail ballot without providing an excuse, and a few send all voters ballots by mail. Seven states only permit certain voters to request an absentee ballot by mail, based on an “excuse” of why that voter can’t make it to the polls on Election Day.

If you plan on voting by mail, check out your state’s election information here and allow plenty of time to request your ballot and return it in time to be counted for the November 3rd election.
