On behalf of our members and supporters in California’s 41st Congressional District, the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare PAC is proud to endorse Will Rollins for election to the U.S. House of Representatives. In Congress, Rollins will be a fighter for Southern California’s seniors.

Rollins, a former federal prosecutor who has spent a career in public service working to make Americans safe, earned the endorsement of the National Committee because of his strong commitment to protecting Inland Empire seniors. Rollins understands the issues that older and working Americans face — and has vowed to protect and enhance Californians’ earned benefits.

Will Rollins will work to boost Social Security’s modest benefits, add dental, hearing and vision benefits to Medicare, and expand Medicare Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS).

There are 100,000 people in CA-41 who receive Social Security benefits, and they deserve a member of Congress who will protect their Social Security & Medicare. For far too long, incumbent Ken Calvert has failed to do this. Calvert has praised schemes to privatize Social Security; supports cutting benefits by raising the retirement age for working people; would ‘voucher-ize’ Medicare, shifting costs to beneficiaries; voted against both Medicaid expansion and protections for those with pre-existing conditions; and voted against lowering prescription drug costs. Needless to say, this is not a record that has benefitted California seniors.

CA-41 is one of the most important House races in the country this cycle, and the National Committee is thrilled that the district’s seniors will have such a strong candidate on the ballot. The choice could not be clearer: a vote for Will Rollins is a vote to protect Social Security & Medicare. – Max Richtman, President and CEO, National Committee to Protect Social Security and Medicare
