President Franklin D. Roosevelt and the National Committee to
Preserve Social Security & Medicare
as we celebrate Social Security’s 80th Anniversary

Friday, August 14th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
in front of the the U.S. Capitol Visitors Center


Visitors can take a selfie with FDR, receive a special gift, share their own Social Security stories and learn more about the historic battle to create and preserve Social Security over its 80 successful years.   The FDR Celebration flyer can be downloaded HERE.


The National Committee, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization acts in the interests of its membership through advocacy, education, services, grassroots efforts and the leadership of the Board of Directors and professional staff. The work of the National Committee is directed toward developing better-informed citizens and voters.
