You can either pay your premium directly to the plan in which you have enrolled or have your premium automatically deducted from your Social Security, Railroad Retirement or Office of Personnel Management check monthly (in the same way your Part B premium is currently deducted). Should you choose to have your premium deducted from your Social Security check, be aware that your first two months’ premiums will be combined and deducted from the same check.

Employers, State Pharmaceutical Assistance Programs (SPAPs), state Medicaid agencies and charitable organizations can also pay the Part D premium for you.
