News Release
The Social Security and Women Summit, a joint venture between the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare and AARP, is designed to bring awareness to the importance of safeguarding Social Security's future by finding commonsense, non-partisan solutions that extend solvency of the program while expanding benefits.
The National Committee is committed to expanding Social Security benefits for all seniors, and especially recognizes the shortfall that women face in retirement as compared to men for a variety of socio-economic reasons. Our Senior Vote 2016 campaign mobilizes voters to advocate for income equality for women and security retirement for all.
