The National Committee has millions of members nationwide, and thousands of members in Nebraska. We are supporting John because we believe he is the very best candidate to protect Social Security and Medicare.
John is currently serving his second term of office in the Nebraska State Legislature where he’s fought hard for senior Nebraskans and for working families. We believe he will bring his experience, his commitment, and his knowledge to Congress and fight back against those in Washington who want to cut and privatize Social Security and Medicare.
Nebraska’s seniors are hurting. They are being crushed by inflation and a crisis in healthcare. The programs that they have paid into and rely on are under assault.
The Trump administration and some Republicans in Congress have already made severe cutbacks at the Social Security Administration. And they’ve slashed more than $1 trillion from Medicaid and food assistance — all to pay for tax giveaways to the very wealthy.
