News Release

“For more than thirty years, Louise Slaughter was a staunch defender of programs that provided seniors with health and financial security in retirement. She understood the challenges faced by workers, retirees and their families who depend on their earned benefits in Social Security and Medicare. She supported efforts to protect and expand these programs and also was an advocate for Medicaid and the Older Americans Act.  We mourn the passing of Congresswomen Slaughter and will remain forever thankful to her for all she did to make older Americans a priority in the Halls of Congress.” –  Max Richtman, President and CEO
