The National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare (NCPSSM), one of the largest senior advocacy organizations in the country with more than 16,000 members and supporters in New Hampshire, will dispatch its mobile billboard to the "Granite State" in time for the January 10 th Presidential primary. The "Hands Off-No Cuts" billboard, part of the National Committee's campaign which has successfully fought threatened cuts to Social Security and Medicare as part of deficit reduction, has traveled across the nation reminding political candidates and incumbents that the majority of Americans reject proposals cutting Social Security and Medicare benefits to balance the budget. The Hands Off - No Cuts truck hits the streets of Manchester starting January 5th through January 9th . The billboard will then make stops at the campaign offices of Mitt Romney ( 361 Elm Street ), Barack Obama ( 228 Maple Street ), and John Huntsman ( 1850 Elm Street ) and will continue to circle the candidate's offices until 7:00 pm.

A recent bipartisan national poll sponsored by the National Committee Foundation showed opposition to cutting Social Security & Medicare is strong across party lines with 82% of Democrats, 73% of Independents and 58% of Republicans against cutting benefits to reduce the deficit. The National Committee's "Hands Off - No Cuts" grassroots campaign has mobilized Americans nationwide to help stop cuts to benefits for current and future generations. The billboards will travel to Florida prior to their Jan 31st primary and will be scheduled to run in targeted states during the 2012 election campaign.
