    NEWS RELEASE

New DVD Details Healthcare Reform and What it Means for Seniors in Medicare

The National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare is committed to providing America's seniors with updated and detailed information of how healthcare reform legislation will affect their medical coverage in Medicare.  In our newly released DVD and web video, "Health Reform and Seniors," we describe many of the provisions in health reform, which will touch the lives of seniors, some as soon as this year.

Individual copies of the DVD are available at no charge by calling 1-800-966-1935. The video is also available on the National Committee's YouTube Channel and will be used by seniors groups, at town hall meetings, and grassroots events.

"Healthcare reform strengthened Medicare for seniors," says Barbara B. Kennelly, President and CEO of the National Committee . "But if seniors don't have an opportunity to learn the details, there will still be widespread misunderstanding about new Medicare provisions in the law. Our video breaks down these changes in a format that is easy to understand."

This video supplements the National Committee's popular newsletter, Secure Retirement , which provides detailed coverage of health care reform in its spring issue.  The publication is currently in its second printing due to very high demand from seniors nationwide.

A copy of Secure Retirement can also be downloaded from our website .
