    The President's last Social Security Commission was a deck stacked with privatizers. There is no need to repeat that experience. Americans have already rejected privatizing Social Security because it increases the debt, cuts benefits and places all the risk of retirement on the individual. They don't need another Commission that promotes the dismantling of Social Security and undermining of Medicare through privatization.

    The National Committee, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization acts in the interests of its membership through advocacy, education, services, grassroots efforts and the leadership of the Board of Directors and professional staff. The work of the National Committee is directed toward developing better-informed citizens and voters.
