Nationwide Search underway for America 's Leaders in Aging Call for nominations ends on March 31st

The National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare is now accepting nominations for its prestigious 2006 Leaders in Aging awards.  Each year during Older Americans Month, the National Committee honors individuals, programs and organizations which have served America 's elderly in extraordinary ways.

Seven awards will be presented in a number of categories including the: Service to Seniors Award, Caregiver Award and Distinguished Seniors Award.  A Lifetime Achievement award will also be given to an individual whose impact on America 's older population has been exemplary and without equal.   Leaders in Aging winners will receive a $500 grant and an expense-paid trip to Washington D.C. to participate in the Salute to Leaders awards program.

There are so many dedicated seniors' advocates and volunteers in our country whose stories are truly inspiring.  This is our chance at the National Committee to honor their commitment to seniors and highlight the important work they do each and every day.”…Barbara B. Kennelly, President/CEO
