President & CEO Barbara B. Kennelly and Representative Sander Levin deliver petitions to Congress.

    ~ 4 Million Seniors ~ One Voice ~No Privatization ~

    Is Social Security Privatization dead?
    Seniors say it should be.

Advocates delivered nearly 1.5 million petitions to Representative Sander Levin to demonstrate support for his opposition to private accounts

“This is our final petition delivery of the year and should mark the final word in the private accounts debate.  If Congress is listening, they've heard the overwhelming opposition from Americans opposed to Social Security private accounts.  It's time the private account proponents in Congress listen to what voters are saying…no private accounts, not today, not next year, and not ever.”
    -- Barbara B. Kennelly, President/CEO

The National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare delivered its latest round of petitions urging the rejection of Social Security private account legislation to Representative Sander Levin (D-MI) Ranking member of the House Ways and Means Social Security Subcommittee, on Thursday, October 6th.

Ten members of NCPSSM's Senior Rally Corp joined President & CEO, Barbara Kennelly , in making this final petition delivery.
